The Attorneys

of the Reingold Wisener Law Firm

Rachel Reingold Wisener

“I am originally from New England, but I had lived in several states across the country before settling in Texas in 2014. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College in 2013, with a B.A. in Liberal Arts (concentrating in Political Science and French), I eventually settled into a series of office jobs for the next several years.

Needing a change and looking for a sense of purpose, I set my sights on going to law school. I began attending South Texas College of Law in Fall 2019, where I met my future husband and law partner shortly thereafter.

I was unsure of which area of law I wanted to pursue until I saw up close how much power the State has and how they utilize it in criminal prosecutions. I worked as a clerk for a criminal defense attorney during law school and eventually practiced under a supervised license before passing the bar exam and being admitted to the State Bar of Texas in October 2022. I hit the ground running and have been practicing in criminal court ever since.

There is nothing I hold more sacred than the Constitution and what it promises. I strive everyday to hold the State accountable to their duty to uphold the rights of the accused. My job is to defend the rights of my clients and to protect against the overreach of the State. My guiding light has been these words from the Scottish attorney Sir Henry Broughman:

‘An advocate, in the discharge of his duty, knows but one person in all the world, and that person is his client.’”

“I was raised in Lubbock, Texas. As a child of about 12, I developed a fascination with political science and an interest in learning about our Constitution and our system of government. I went on to study Political Science and Journalism at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. After discovering there was little demand for upstart journalists and copywriters, I went on to work on the railroad for a few years.

After some convincing by my father, I attended law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, where my appreciation for constitutional rights was focused into a deep passion for the rights of the accused. I met my wife while attending law school, graduated in 2022, and was licensed to practice by the State Bar of Texas in 2023. More importantly, my wife and I were married.

Rachel and I started this firm motivated, in part, by our shared love of the rights and freedoms afforded us by the American experiment and our desire to protect them. Personally, I am determined to put my enthusiasm for the constitutional rights of the accused into action.

I believe the only way a system of justice such as ours can hope to function is with competent, voracious defense attorneys taking the State to task, and I intend to do that for every client my wife and I serve.”
